CONGRATULATIONS to the following Seniors who will be graduating this evening:
Samantha Grathen
Hannah Graham
Genevieve Frank
Leah Armstrong
Aurora Ray
Elena Leiva
Milly Figueroa
Elizabeth Elrod
Briana Arnold
Kameron Neumann
We are so proud of you and will miss having you on deck with us next year!

"Somebody said that it couldn't be done, but with a chuckle replied, that 'maybe it couldn't' but she would be one who wouldn't say so till she'd tried. So she bucked right in with the trace of a grin on her face. If she worried, she hid it. She started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn't be done. And she did it. Somebody scoffed: 'Oh, you'll never do that, at least no one has ever done it.' So she took off his coat and took off her hat and the first thing she knew she'd begun in. With the lift of her chin and a bit of a grin, if any doubt rose she forbid it. She started to sing as she tackled the thing that couldn't be done, and she did it. There are thousands to point out to you, one by one, the dangers that wait to assail you, but just buckle right in with a bit of a grin, then take off your coat and hat and go to it. Just start to sing as you tackle the thing that cannot be done and you'll do it."

Thank you, Important Dates and FREE Physical Opportunity

A huge shout out to the athletes and parents who came out to sell concessions at the YMCA Track and Field Meet on May 19th. We had a blast, got to experience a little bit of the craziness the concessions volunteers have to handle (I couldn't imagine what it's like during football season) and earned some money that will be put towards the scoreboard.

As the school year winds down here are a few dates to put on the calendar:
July 15: Pre-Season Meeting, 6:00PM, Appleton North Commons
July 17: Laser Tag, Badger Sports Park (details coming)
July 24: Lake Day, High Cliff State Park (details coming)
August 7: FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE, 8-10AM, Appleton North Pool

From the Athletic Trainer, Cassy Timmers:
As the medical providers for the Appleton Area School District, the Orthopedic and Sports Institute offers a night of FREE sports physicals during the summer!
The student-athlete will receive a full evaluation from both a primary care physician and an orthopedic physician - for FREE.
Registration is required. To reserve your spot, go to osifv.com/events
Physical sign up will run from Wednesday, May 16 - Wednesday, July 18.
**ATHLETES MAY NOT PRACTICE/COMPETE WITHOUT A SPORTS PHYSICAL OR ALTERNATE YEAR ON FILE.

Hello Appleton North Swimmers and Families!

Welcome to your new team blog! Please try to get in the habit of checking in on this page weekly during the summer as it is the best way to get information to the entire team. The easiest thing to do is “subscribe,” then each time I post something on the page, you will get it in email form. Just enter your email address in the "follow by email" spot, and you'll be set.

From now until the season gets started, I will be posting reminders on this page. Once the season gets started I will be transitioning everyone to Google Classroom. I will continue to use this blog to post meet recaps and other fun information. There are tabs for our practice and meet schedule, as well as links to the forms that need to be turned in BEFORE our first practice.   The coach and captain page will be updated with photos and bios soon--stay tuned!

Go Lightning,

Coach Jamie
